Hematite: Hematite is a natural iron oxide mineral that forms hexagonal crystals. Translucent and Opaque Gems That Pick Up

Opaque stones are commonly used equally ornamental lapidary materials in the form of opaque slabs, cabs and chaplet. Big cabs can exist too heavy to pick up with a magnet, but they testify a strong allure when floated. Rhodochrosite cannot be distinguished from Rhodonite by magnetic response alone.
